Chris's Story
I was born in Zimbabwe (to some, still Rhodesia) and moved with my family to England over 30 years ago. Having been a Chemical Engineer for the last 40 years and always having done my own work on our houses in Africa (in war-torn Zimbabwe there was no other option) I continued this trend in England. I can now say that I am an accomplished handyman, skilled at plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, welding and basic patch-up plastering, I pride myself in my problem solving and thinking outside the box. When the oil and gas industry in which I was working collapsed with this pandemic I decided to start a business employing the skills I had gained over the last 40 years. I am now living in the Newbury area having recently bought a fixer-upper and am slowly but surely getting our house worthy of the neighbourhood.Well House Home Repair is really just an extension of what I have been doing for the last 40 years. I get great satisfaction from seeing the finished product, and I am only content when things work as they should.
